Frequently Asked Questions
Find clear answers to common questions about our painting services, free quotes, surface preparation, project timeframes, service areas, registrations and after-service support, so you can better understand what to expect before getting in touch.
Can you paint my residential property?
Yes. We work with homeowners, landlords, property owners and property managers on residential painting projects. We can paint new or existing homes and undertake interior painting, exterior painting, complete home repaints, rental property painting, maintenance painting and detailed work on walls, ceilings, doors, windows, trims and skirting boards.
Can you handle my commercial painting?
Yes. We undertake commercial painting for offices, retail shops, warehouses, commercial buildings, property managers, builders and developers. Work can include new painting, commercial property repainting, maintenance painting, touch-ups and defect rectification. Larger projects are considered according to the scope, site access, site conditions, required timeframe and resources needed.
Do you take on industrial painting?
Yes. Industrial painting is part of our confirmed work scope. We can consider industrial buildings, warehouses and workshops, including painting, repainting, suitable protective surface coatings, concrete coatings, garage floor coatings and scheduled industrial maintenance painting. Project suitability is considered according to the actual site and work required. We do not provide vehicle, car or ship painting.
Can you paint my new build?
Yes. We provide painting for new homes, townhouses, multi-unit developments and other suitable new construction projects. We work with builders, developers, property owners and property managers and can undertake interior and exterior painting, final touch-ups and painting-related defect rectification for newly constructed properties.
Can you repaint my existing property?
Yes. Repainting is available for residential and commercial properties, including complete home repaints, interior and exterior repainting, faded or damaged painted surfaces, commercial property repainting, maintenance work and scheduled touch-ups. We assess the existing surfaces first so the preparation and coating approach can be matched to their condition.
Do you paint interiors and exteriors?
Yes. Our interior painting can cover walls, ceilings, doors, windows, trims, feature walls and other suitable surfaces, while our exterior work can include exterior walls, roofs, fences, gates, decks, pergolas, exterior timber finishes and suitable concrete surfaces. The exact preparation, application method and coating choice depend on the surface and project requirements.
Do you paint warehouses and workshops?
Yes. Warehouse and workshop painting and repainting are part of our industrial painting capability. We can also consider associated maintenance painting and suitable protective or concrete coatings where they fall within the agreed painting scope. We assess larger industrial projects individually so access, conditions, timeframe, surface requirements and overall suitability can be considered before quoting.
What affects the cost of my painting project?
Painting costs depend on the individual job rather than a single fixed rate. Important factors can include the size of the property or project, the condition of the surfaces, how much preparation is needed, the selected paint or coating system, site access and the overall scope of work. We therefore provide a free project-specific quotation rather than advertising starting prices or packages that may not reflect the work your property actually requires.
Will you inspect my property before quoting?
We may arrange a property or site inspection where it is useful for preparing an accurate quotation. An inspection can help us assess surface condition, preparation requirements, access, the proposed scope and the finish you want. Not every project necessarily requires an on-site inspection, so we first consider what information is needed for your particular job.
What should I provide when requesting a painting quote?
It helps to tell us where the project is located, whether it is residential, commercial or industrial, what areas or surfaces you want painted, the type of work you need and any relevant concerns about the existing condition. Photos can also be useful where available. Once we understand the initial requirements, we can determine whether further discussion or a site assessment is appropriate before preparing the quotation.
Will I receive a written quote with the work explained?
A written quotation can be supplied with the proposed scope of work explained. This gives you a clearer understanding of what has been assessed and what the painting project is expected to involve before work is scheduled. Because every property and project can differ, we prepare quotations around the actual job rather than relying on generic fixed-price packages.
What happens after I accept your quote?
Once the project is confirmed, we arrange scheduling and prepare for the agreed work. The process can then include protecting relevant areas, preparing the surfaces, applying the required paint or finish, carrying out quality checks, completing touch-ups where required, cleaning the work area and completing the final handover. The exact process is adapted to the requirements of each project.
How long will my painting project take?
The timeframe depends on factors such as project size, surface condition, preparation requirements, the number of coats, access, weather where relevant, drying times and the overall scope. A smaller room or straightforward repaint may sometimes be completed within a few days, while larger homes and commercial projects can require several days or weeks. We establish a more realistic timeframe after assessing the work rather than promising a fixed turnaround before understanding the project.
What preparation do you do before painting?
Preparation is an important part of our painting process. Depending on the surface, we may carry out cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling minor imperfections, small-hole patching, suitable crack repairs, spot priming, priming, sealing and removal of loose or peeling paint. Previously painted surfaces are prepared according to their condition, and pressure cleaning may be used where appropriate as part of painting preparation.
Can you repair small cracks or holes before painting?
Yes, where the repairs fall within normal painting preparation. We can carry out suitable minor patching, fill small holes and imperfections and attend to appropriate cracks before painting. We assess the condition first because more extensive damage, major plastering or structural problems may require another qualified trade before our painting work can begin.
What repairs are outside your normal painting scope?
Our normal painting scope does not include major plastering, structural repairs, extensive damage repairs, mould remediation or other specialist repairs that require a different trade. We also do not provide roof restoration or structural roof repair. Where a surface requires specialist work first, we can identify that painting should follow after the appropriate repair or treatment has been completed. Minor painting-related preparation and repairs can still be considered where suitable.
Will you protect my property while you paint?
We take practical steps to protect the work area during painting. Depending on the project, this can include protecting floors, furniture and surrounding areas, keeping work areas organised and managing dust and debris created during preparation. Our work is supervised and quality-checked throughout the project, with attention given to proper preparation and professional completion.
Will you clean up after finishing the job?
Yes. Clean-up forms part of our normal project process. We manage dust and debris during the work, complete final checks and touch-ups where required, and clean the work area at the end of the project. Our aim is to leave completed areas clean, safe and ready for normal use.
Can you help me choose colours and paint finishes?
Yes. We can assist with paint colour selection, finish recommendations, product and coating guidance, and choosing suitable options for different surfaces and environments. Recommendations can take into account the surface, location, project requirements, desired appearance and your preferences, so the final selection is appropriate for the job rather than based on a one-size-fits-all product choice.
Can you help me choose suitable paint products?
Yes. Paint and coating selection can be discussed according to the project and your preferences. Depending on the job, suitable options may include interior or exterior paints, primers, low-odour or low-VOC products where appropriate, and weather-resistant exterior coatings where appropriate. We match product recommendations to the surface, environment, desired finish and project requirements rather than claiming that one product type is right for every job.
How will you manage and check my project?
Our painting work is supervised and quality-checked throughout the project. We focus on proper preparation, consistent application, finishing details and keeping customers informed as the work progresses. Quality checks continue through the painting process, with a final inspection and touch-ups carried out where required before completion and handover.
How much painting experience do you have?
We have approximately nine years of painting-industry experience, including residential and commercial painting and decorating, interior and exterior work, new projects, repainting, detailed finishing and larger building projects. The current business operation has been running for approximately three years.
What painting registrations do you hold?
Our confirmed registration details include Registered Painting Practitioner 101806 and Registered Painting Contractor 102128. These registration details relate to PULSE VISION PTY LTD and the painting operation behind Brabham Pro Painters. We publish the registration titles and numbers as supplied so customers can clearly identify the professional credentials associated with our painting work.
Do you provide a workmanship warranty or guarantee?
We do not advertise a workmanship warranty, satisfaction guarantee or guaranteed painting results. We prefer to be clear about what we actually provide rather than make promises that are not part of our confirmed terms. Our projects include preparation, supervision, quality checks, final inspection and touch-ups where required, and we do provide after-service support if you have a concern after completion.
What happens if I have a concern after completion?
We provide after-service support. If you have a concern after your painting project has been completed, you can contact us to discuss the issue. We will consider the concern in relation to the completed work and the project circumstances. This after-service support is separate from a workmanship warranty or guarantee.
Can you help with painting maintenance and touch-ups?
Yes. We provide residential and commercial maintenance painting, repainting of faded or damaged painted surfaces, touch-up painting, defect rectification and scheduled painting maintenance programs. This work relates specifically to maintaining painted surfaces and finishes rather than structural property maintenance or major building repairs.
